Barby K. Siegel brings an extensive integrated marketing background to her role as CEO of Zeno Group. Barby's recent appointment brings her back to the Daniel J Edelman family having spent eleven years at Edelman before joining Ogilvy PR in 2003.
Barby has represented clients in myriad categories, including personal care, packaged goods, food, beauty, fashion, retail, financial services and technology. Barby is passionate about the power of an insight driven 'big idea' to work across channels to influence target audience behavior and -- importantly -- impact a brand's bottom line. With almost 25 years of agency experience, Barby believes deeply in bringing clients the best thinking, from wherever that may come. She frequently works across practices and with clients' partner agencies to make good ideas great. In 2006, Barby was named a "champion of consumer PR" by PR Week.
Most recently at Ogilvy PR, Barby led the consumer team for Ford Motor Company, infusing lifestyle positioning into the company's earned media activities, effectively moving them from ‘auto-speak’ to ‘consumer speak.’ In addition, Barby led Ogilvy PR's global relationship with Unilever, contributing to brands including Lipton, Slim-Fast, Knorr, Lux, Promise & Bertolli. Other client work includes J&J, Intel, LG Electronics, Chevron, Tropicana, American Express, TJ Maxx & Kimberly Clark.
During her eleven-year stint at Edelman, Barby led the consumer technology group and worked on such brands as Apple Computer, Kinko’s and Ericsson as well as Hershey’s, Barnes & Noble, Unilever and Lowe’s. Barby began her career at a boutique agency, McGrath Power Associates, working on behalf of consumer brands such as Nikon, Reebok, Citibank, Nutri/System and The Body Shop.
Barby holds a degree in English from Barnard College, Columbia University. She lives in Briarcliff Manor, New York with her husband, Fred, and two daughters, Matty Esther and Mallory Chaya.
